KIDZ Have Rights is the prevention program of the Children’s Assessment Center. Our program educates and empowers students, school staff, parents & caregivers to recognize, prevent, and stop child sexual abuse.

Introduction of “Rights”

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is teaching body safety the same thing as teaching reproductive health?
These are two different topics. KIDZ Have Rights (KHR) is a safety lesson. The focus is on educating children who Safe Adults are in their life and the different types of touch: Nurturing, Confusing, and Selfish.

Does KHR provide information for educators, parents and caregivers?
KHR recognizes the importance of educating school staff and parents/caregivers on the warning signs of child sexual abuse, how to respond to and report a disclosure of abuse, and how to have body safety conversations with children.

What have parents and teachers said about KIDZ Have Rights?

  • “This is such an age appropriate program!  As a parent, it is often difficult to gauge how much or how little information to share with my child.  This program gave just enough to get our conversations started and was easy to put in context of our lives.  Thank you!”
