CAC Executive Director
Prevention Program Educator
The Children’s Advocacy Center of Kent County is seeking an Educator for its trademarked prevention program, Kids Have Rights. Position entails educating students in kindergarten through fourth grade throughout Kent County. Ideal applicants have proven experience working with children from a variety of backgrounds and are comfortable with the subject matter of child sexual abuse. Requirements include ability to maintain presence in a classroom and utilize positive classroom management skills; excellent written and spoken communications skills; strong collaboration and teamwork skills; high school diploma or GED, with Associate’s in education or related field preferred; reliable personal transportation and valid driver’s license. An internship at the Children’s Advocacy Center provides a unique opportunity to learn the workings of the child welfare and criminal justice system, and to better understand the dynamics of child sexual abuse. We offer two levels of internship:
Bachelor’s Level Internships
Available for individuals completing various programs including but not limited to: Social Work, Child and Family Development, Criminal Justice, and Business Administration. Applicants must have enthusiasm, a willingness to take initiative, and the ability to adapt to various situations and locations within the office and out in the community. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher) current enrollment in a college or university.

Master’s Level Internships
Available for individuals completing a graduate program in Counseling or Social Work. Individuals who are able to complete their internship over two academic semesters are preferred. We are not currently equipped to take on Counseling Practicum students at this time and require that all interested applicants are at the Internship component of their respective graduate program.
